Your union bargaining committee is asking you to authorize a strike over Avis Budget Group's UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE (ULP) in violation of the federal labor law - the National Labor Relations Act.

The strike-authorization vote will take place on Wednesday August 30th at the following locations and times:

Logan Airport: Community Room (CLMCR): lower level of the Rental Car Center at Logan 6am - 4pm

Union Hall: 112 Exchange St. Lynn, MA 01902 8am – 4:30pm

ABG HQ Mechanic Break Room 1pm-2pm

Summary of the ULP Issue:

The Company is not negotiating in good faith with the Union.  The Union filed a ULP with the Region One (Boston Office) of the National Labor Relations Board this week stating:  "From on or about August 25, 2023, and thereafter, the Employer has failed and refused to bargain a successor to the collective bargaining agreement that expires on June 30, 2023 by appointing representatives to its collective bargaining committee who individually and collectively have inadequate authority to bargain."

The refusal of Avis Group to bargain with the Union is an UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE.  We demand the Avis Group comply with the National Labor Relations Act by immediately appointing a representative that is authorized to bargain with the Union, and sit down and finish negotiations with the Union.  The Union is determined to continue negotiations until a fair agreement is reached.

Do you authorize a strike of Local 201 members employed by Avis Budget Group to protest the UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE of the Avis Budget Group by its refusal and failure to appoint a representative with adequate authority to bargain with Local 201 in violation of the National Labor Relations Act?

VOTE YES to authorize a strike: a one-day strike to begin 12:01 AM Friday September 1st through 11:59PM September 1st.  If the majority votes yes all members will strike and refrain from working on September 1st.  You can join us on the picket line at 375 McClellan Highway on September 1st from 10am-Noon.

La votación de autorización de huelga se llevará a cabo el miércoles 30 de agosto en los siguientes lugares y horarios:

Resumen de la cuestión ULP:

La Compañía no está negociando de buena fe con el Sindicato. El Sindicato presentó esta semana una ULP ante la Región Uno (Oficina de Boston) de la Junta Nacional de Relaciones Laborales declarando: "Desde el 25 de agosto de 2023 o alrededor de esa fecha, el Empleador no ha negociado y se ha negado a negociar un sucesor de la negociación colectiva. acuerdo que expira el 30 de junio de 2023 mediante el nombramiento de representantes para su comité de negociación colectiva que individual y colectivamente tienen autoridad inadecuada para negociar".

La negativa del Grupo Avis a negociar con el Sindicato es una PRÁCTICA LABORAL INJUSTA. Exigimos que el Grupo Avis cumpla con la Ley Nacional de Relaciones Laborales designando inmediatamente a un representante que esté autorizado a negociar con el Sindicato, y sentarse para finalizar las negociaciones con el Sindicato. La Unión está decidida a continuar las negociaciones hasta que se alcance un acuerdo justo.

¿Autoriza una huelga de miembros del Local 201 empleados por Avis Budget Group para protestar por las PRÁCTICAS LABORALES INJUSTAS de Avis Budget Group por su negativa y falta de designación de un representante con autoridad adecuada para negociar con el Local 201 en violación de la Ley Nacional de Relaciones Laborales?

VOTE SÍ para autorizar la huelga: la huelga de un día comenzará a las 12:01 AM del viernes 1ro de septiembre hasta las 11:59 pm del 1ro de septiembre. Si la mayoría vota sí, todos los miembros harán huelga y se abstendrán de trabajar el 1ro de septiembre. Résumé du problème ULP:

La Société ne négocie pas de bonne foi avec le Syndicat.  Le Syndicat a depose un ULP avec le Region One (Bureau de Boston) au Conseil National des Relations du Travail (NCLB) cette semaine qui dit: “Dès 25 août 2023 ou environs, et après, l’Employeur n’a pas réussi à négocier et a refusé de négocier un successeur à la convention collective qui a expiré le 30 juin 2023 en désignant des représentants à son comité de négotiation collective qui n’ont pas d’authorité suffisante de négocier.”

Le refus d’Avis Group de négocier avec le Syndicat est une PRACTIQUE DE TRAVAIL INJUSTE (ULP). Nous exigeons qu’Avis Group se conforme avec le Loi National sur les Relations du Travail (National Labor Relations Act) par nommer immédiatement un représentant qui est authorisé de négocier avec le Syndicat, et rencontrer avec le Syndicat jusqu’à ce qu’un accord juste soit trouvé.
